While there are other position and vehicle-location reporting systems that use cell phones and GPS. AGIS is unique in that it can:
- provide a private peer-to-peer network,
- integrate voice with the systems in a manner that facilitates communication without having to dial the other individuals,
- enable direct automatic exchange of location and status data communications between participants without having to access a website as the means of passing data,
- seamlessly allow all voice and digital operations to take place without having to minimize one function to access another function and
- permit control of one phone by another one, permitting the sounding of alerts and causing the phone to call another phone number.
The AGIS baseline is organized around a local-area map with symbols superimposed. The operator controls the AGIS display using fixed SoftSwitches™ (bottom of screen), which enable zoom in, zoom out and map-grab to center on his own, or another’s, symbol. SoftSwitches can be activated with a stylus or finger.
By selecting SWIT SoftSwitch™, a matrix of Functional SoftSwitches™ appears, providing easy access to many functions in about two seconds.
AGIS operates similarly on PCs and Tablets.
